Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation claims that he survived an assassination attempt in Puntland.
Abdisaid Muse, the foreign affairs minister, accuses members of Puntland Security Forces (PSF) of attempting to kill him on April 22.
According to Muse, the soldiers who attempted to assassinate him are loyal to Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni.
He claims that the soldiers attacked him in Galkayo town on Friday.
Furthermore, the foreign affairs minister asserts that one of his bodyguards lost his life in the attack.
Yasin Abdisamad, a traditional elder, suffered serious injuries in the attack.
