Somalia’s Galmudug State Inaugurates Farm for Producing Livestock Fodder

A regional state in Somalia has inaugurated a farm for producing livestock fodder.

The farm is to be based in Adado District in the regional state of Galmudug. It would be the first farm of its kind in the region.

The farm’s inauguration took place on Thursday, July 28.

Its inauguration comes at the right time as Somalia is currently in its worst drought in the last four decades.

Four consecutive dry seasons in the country have caused crops to dry.

Many Somali farmers and herders around the country have lost huge numbers of their livestock and livelihood.
