Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, Somalia’s Minister of Health, held a meeting with the new Chief of IOM Somalia on Tuesday.
During the meeting, which took place at the head office of the health ministry, Dr. Nur was quick to welcome Richard Danziger to the country.
She also hailed the strong partnership between her ministry and IOM Somalia over the years.
Dr. Nur stated that IOM Somalia had been one of the strongest partners for the country in the health sector.
Furthermore, Dr. Nur said she hoped Danziger’s arrival in the country would herald a new era of strategic partnerships between the two institutions to improve healthcare in Somalia.
