Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, Somalia’s Minister of Health, has sent a message of condolences to the family of the late Dr. Hawa Abdi, whose death was announced yesterday.
Dr. Nur referred to Dr. Hawa as her “role model and helper.”
She also hailed Dr. Hawa for the incredible level of compassion displayed to help poor Somalis to access quality healthcare.
The deceased was not only a top medic, but also an award-winning humanitarian recognized for her role in helping the downtrodden members of the society in Somalia.
Dr. Nur asked Allah to extend patience to Hawa’s children, relatives, and all Somalis too for the loss of a great humanitarian.
