Somalia’s Ministry of Health held a workshop of stakeholders to discuss the new Community Health Workers (CHWs) training curriculum.
The workshop took place in a hotel in Mogadishu on October 14.
Several officials from the health ministry turned up for the workshop.
Representatives of the CHWs also showed up for this crucial workshop, which was organized to discuss the newly launched harmonized training curriculum.
Stakeholders agreed that the harmonized curriculum is critical for providing the comprehensive training that CHWs need to deliver extensive services at the community level.
The harmonized curriculum mostly puts more emphasis on delivery of excellent preventative and promotive health services at the community level.
