The Ministry of Health has launched the Somalia Guideline and Protocol for Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM).
The health ministry launched the program on Tuesday, December 15.
During the launching ceremony, health ministry officials said that IMAM would serve a crucial role in ensuring that all women and children have access to quality health services.
Specifically, the new program is designed to “improve the quality of nutrition services for women and children diagnosed with malnutrition.”
Furthermore, the health ministry officials present at the ceremony stated that IMAM would enable proper diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of malnutrition in women and children.
