The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs launched a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) hub.
Duran Farah, the labor minister in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), launched the TVET hub on February 10.
While launching it, Farah said that the Germany government had funded the construction and equipping of the hub through the KfW Group.
YME Foundation implemented the project.
The new hub is to be implemented in three regional states; namely, HirShabelle, Galmudug, and Southwest.
Farah announced that the government would establish a TVET hub each of the three states before setting up in the remaining two regions of Puntland and Jubbaland.
The labor minister stated that Somalia would replicate the successful TVET program that is in operation in German.
