Somalia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs held a two-day workshop on implementation of the Social Protection Policy (SPP).
Participants in the workshop were mostly drawn from the labor ministry.
Key personnel from the relevant ministries in the Federal Member States (FMS) were also at the workshop.
Sadik Warfa, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, launched the workshop officially.
While addressing participants, Warfa said, “The workshop offers training to all stakeholders to understand the Social Protection Policy better.”
He urged participants to implement the knowledge they gain from the training back in their communities to alleviate vulnerable members from poverty.
