Somalia’s House of Representatives, commonly referred to as the Lower House, is to reconvene from April 12.
The Lower House reconvenes at a time when the nation’s leadership has been unable to resolve electoral impasse that has been going on since last year.
There are reports that lawmakers at the Lower House could discuss term extension.
Its term expired in December 2020.
However, parliamentary elections have not taken place as scheduled thus putting the country at risk of a constitutional crisis.
