The Somali National Economic Council (NEC) mulls working closely and collaborating with the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA).
This emerged recently when officials from NEC traveled to Nairobi for a meeting with KIPPRA representatives.
Dr. Hassan A. Hosow led the team from NEC.
Dr. Hosow, the NEC Executive Director, added that representatives from the National Economic Advisors (NEAs) and their technical staff joined them in the Nairobi visit.
One possible area of collaboration between NEC and KIPPRA is policy analysis and research.
They also seek to pursue increased cooperation in engagement, policy uptake, and capacity building.
Both sides announced that they would soon be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to that effect.
