Somalia’s new cabinet has been sworn into office.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Sunday, August 7 a few moments after the House of the People (Lower House) endorsed the new cabinet ministers.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre announced the formation of the new cabinet earlier last week.
Thereafter, the 77 ministers had to wait for parliamentary approval before stepping into office.
Prime Minister Barre was present to witness the new cabinet ministers, deputies, and state ministers being sworn in to officially assume their responsibilities.
