Somalia’s new Prime Minister visited the Speaker of the House of the People (Lower House) on Thursday, June 16.
The visit took place only a few hours after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud announced Hamza Abdi Barre as his preferred choice to become the new Prime Minister.
President Mohamud appointed Prime Minister Barre on Wednesday, June 15.
A day later, Prime Minister Barre visited Speaker Sheikh Aden Madobe of the Lower House.
Currently, Prime Minister Barre is on a tour to familiarize himself with other political and government leaders around the country.
