Somalia’s ranking in the recently released Open Budget Survey (OBS) has improved significantly.
The survey came out during the last Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFF), which ended recently.
The East African nation has witnessed a massive improvement.
Currently, its transparency score stands at 20 out of 100.
Somalia stands next to Tanzania.
Yussuf Mohamed Adan, the State Minister for Labor and Social Affairs, expressed delight at the fact that Somalia was reviewed through such an open process.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency and public participation in the fiscal and budgetary processes.
