Somalia’s Senate (Upper House) has appointed a committee to review the country’s provisional constitution.
Senate held a session on Tuesday, June 21, and agreed to appoint a team that would tackle this issue.
The committee, which is to be known as the Constitutional Review Committee, begins working with immediate effect.
Members of the 5-member committee include Senator Abdi Hassan Awale, Senator Iftin Hassan Basto, and Senator Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail.
Other members are Senator Hassan Hussein Haji and Senator Salah Ahmed Jama.
