Somalia’s Telecoms Giant Introduces Women Only Tellers

Hormuud, the largest telecom company in Somalia, has introduced a service that allows women to be served by women-only personnel.

The service is for women clients the firm serves in Mogadishu.

Hormuud has already hired women tellers whose job description includes offering services to women clients only.

Since its establishment, Hormuud has been at the forefront of changing the employment sector in the East African nation.

It remains one of the largest employers among private companies in the nation.

Currently, it boasts of a 20,000-strong workforce that features employees working either full-time or part-time.
