Somaliland Accuses Somalia of Planning to Disrupt its November 13 Elections

Somaliland has hit out at alleged plans by the Federal Government of Somalia to disrupt the forthcoming November 13 elections.

Somaliland alleges that Somalia held a meeting in Muscat, Oman, with the intent to disrupt Somaliland’s elections.

In response, the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) of Somaliland has stated that they are working closely with the immigration department to enhance border security.

Additionally, they have called on citizens to remain vigilant.

This reflects the ongoing tensions between Somaliland, a self-declared independent region, and Somalia over political and territorial issues.

Somaliland is scheduled to hold parliamentary and presidential elections next month.
