Somaliland’s Council of Ministers has approved the Child Act 2020.
The council approved the Act, which was submitted by the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs, and Family on November 22.
The ministry submitted the draft to the cabinet to mark this year’s World Children’s Day.
Consequently, the draft is now in the hands of the House of Representatives.
Members of Parliament (MPs) in the House of Representatives debate and pass it within the legally defined timeframe.
