Somaliland’s Council of Cabinet has approved the 2021 budget that the Ministry of Finance Development tabled before it.
On December 3, the cabinet met under the leadership of President Musa Bihi Abdi to discuss the 2021 budget.
The cabinet agreed to approve the budget unanimously.
According to insider reports, the budget for the new financial year is more than Somaliland Shillings 2.8 trillion.
Reports indicate that the budget would fund several sectors that include security, education, justice, energy, environment, health, and upcoming elections.
It would also support Somaliland’s quest for improved food production and international recognition.
