Somaliland Can’t Prosper Without Peace and Stability, Says Minister

“Somaliland will never prosper without peace and stability,” a federal minister has said.

Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, the Minister of Interior, added that peaceful stability remains the key ingredient for prosperity.

He was speaking during celebrations held to mark the 29th anniversary of the Somaliland National Armed Forces (SNAF).

Ahmed added that Somaliland had recovered from decades of conflicts in Somalia.

In his view, that was only possible because of the peace and stability that the region continues to enjoy since breaking away from Somalia in 1991.
