Electoral delegates from Somaliland are to elect several senators in the regional senatorial polls scheduled for September 29.
The delegates meet in Mogadishu for the function that is expected to go down on Wednesday.
They will be electing six out of the 11 senators that would then be representing Somaliland in the federal Upper House.
Somaliland has been unable to hold these polls.
Its inability to do so was the direct result of the dispute between Speaker Abdi Hashi of the Upper House and Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Gulaid.
