The government of Somaliland has revoked the licenses of several public notaries.
Somaliland’s Ministry of Justice announced the revocation of the licenses on Saturday.
According to the justice ministry, the revocation abided by the dictates of Article 18 of the Notaries Act.
Consequently, all notaries are expected to surrender all forms, documents, and stamps to the regional coordinator with immediate effect.
They should also hand over the same to the Department of Legal Professionals and Access to Justice.
