On Sunday night, a local journalist suffered serious wounds in a shooting incident that took place in Sool’s provincial capital of Lasanod.
Authorities identified the wounded journalist as Adan Jama Ogle.
They said that he suffered two gunshot wounds on his left shoulder. He injured his hand too during the shootout.
Later, he was rushed to Gargaar Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for his wounds. Health officials say that his condition is improving by the minute.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that he was in a heated argument with another man, who remains unidentified, before being shot.
Police have arrested the shooter, who is now in their custody helping them with investigation.
Meanwhile, Faisal Jama Adan, a local coordinator for the information ministry hailed Ogle as one of the region’s best-disciplined journalists.
