Somaliland launched its first Health and Demographic Survey (SLHDS) Report 2020 on October 7 at a joint ministerial function in Hargeisa.
Hassan Mohamed Ali, the Minister of Planning and National Development, and Omar Ali Abdillahi, the Minister of Health Development, launched the survey on Wednesday.
Through this survey, decision-makers and leaders in the country would have access to vital data on the health and lives of women and children of Somaliland.
Government officers collected the data from more than 20,000 households in the rural and urban areas of the country.
The officers visited all the six regions of Somaliland.
The survey also listed the most important gains women and children around the country continue to enjoy on health and development.
