Somaliland MP Accused of Attempting to Murder a Vulcanizer

A Somaliland Member of Parliament (MP) has been accused of involvement in the attempted murder of a vulcanizer.

The name of Ahmed Abdi Kijandhe, a lawmaker at the House of Representatives, has been mentioned in the recent planned attack on a vulcanizer.

According to reports, Kijandhe and the local vulcanizer had a bit of a disagreement on Wednesday in Hargeisa.

Apparently, the 21-year old vulcanizer asked Kijandhe for his money after completing a project for which the legislator had hired him.

Kijandhe refused to heed to the vulcanizer’s request for payment.

Instead, he allegedly hired a group of youths to attack the vulcanizer who was working outside a supermarket that the MP owns.

The young man suffered serious injuries that left him in a coma.

He is currently admitted at Royal Private Hospital in Hargeisa where he is receiving medical attention.

Abdirahman Mohamed Hoog, a member of the House of Representatives, condemned the incident and urged security agent to take legal action against Kijandhe.
