Somaliland Officials in High-Level Discussions with International Partners in Nairobi

Officers from the government of Somaliland held high-level discussions with international partners in Nairobi.

The discussions between the officers and representatives of international community took place on February 4.

During their meeting, the leaders discussed and agreed on several issues pertinent to the breakaway country’s future.

Mostly, the discussions revolved around trade and international cooperation.

The Somaliland delegation comprised Dr. Saad Ali Shire, the Minister of Finance, and Hassan Mohamed Ali, the Minister of Planning.

A senior officer from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended the Thursday meeting in the Kenyan capital.

The delegation from Somaliland held their meeting with 16 Ambassadors.

They also held discussions with representatives from the European Union (EU), World Bank, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Somaliland Embassy in Kenya organized the meeting, which took place at the residence of Ole Thonke, the Danish Ambassador to Kenya.
