Somaliland police arrested two individuals for selling alcohol illegally in Hargeisa on Sunday, November 1.
Police also confirmed that they detained a vehicle the two individuals were traveling in and using to transport the alcohol.
The security agents also seized over 500 liters of alcohol.
Colonel Faisal Hiis, the spokesperson for the police, confirmed the incident while briefing the media in the nation’s capital.
Hiis said that the two people had imported alcohol illegally.
The police spokesperson stated that the two people would be presented before court while the state would confiscate their vehicle.
