Reports regarding the resignation of Maj. Gen. Mohamed Adan Saqadi from his position as the Somaliland National Police Force (SNPF) are lies.
The police headquarters in Hargeisa issued a strong denial of the rumors flying around stating that Maj. Gen. Saqadi is no longer the chief of SNPF.
Police headquarters added that Maj. Gen. Saqadi has been out of the country on personal matters.
It added that the police chief is now back after jetting into the country on Thursday.
Police deputy chiefs and sectional commanders were both at the Egal International Airport in Hargeisa to welcome him back.
