Brigadier General Mohamed Adan Saqadi, the Chief Commissioner of Somaliland Police Force (SLPF), has advised new trainee cadets to be more professional.
He was speaking on August 21 during a ceremony held to mark the inaugural cadets course, which is taking place at Mandera’s Lihle Police Academy.
In his address, Brig. Gen. Saqadi said that the training seeks to prepare the cadets to take up more responsibility in their jobs.
Other senior police officers also addressed the cadets.
These included Colonel Ibrahim, the SLPF’s Chief of Operations.
Others were Colonel Faisal Hiis Elmi, who is in charge of police training, and Col. Jama, Commandant of the Lihle Police Academy.
The officers were speaking at the start of a training organized for 155 recruits.
Out of these, 97 are to be trained as police officers while 41 will graduate as naval personnel and 17 as immigration officers.
