Brig. Gen. Mohamed Adan Saqadi, who is the Commissioner of Police and popularly known as Dabagale, has urged Somaliland police force to be more vigilant during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Brig. Gen. Saqadi told the police that they are now required to do more. He hailed them for focusing beyond their usual chores, which include promoting law and order, and supporting the government in its efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Further, the Police Commissioner urged his fellow compatriots to adhere to the COVID-19 procedures and measures the government had put in place through the Ministry of Health. He also requested them to maintain social distancing and hygiene guidelines.
Brig. Gen. Saqafi spoke on Thursday during a press conference in his office, which is at the police headquarters in Hargeisa. He also issued congratulatory messages to police officers, soldiers and their families as they observe Ramadan.
