Nairobi – Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro arrived in Nairobi on Monday evening to begin an official working visit to Kenya, marking his third foreign trip since taking office late last year.
President Irro was received at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, Hassan Ali Joho.
Afterward, he was then escorted in formal procession to his official residence in the Kenyan capital.
Dozens of Somaliland nationals living in Kenya turned out to welcome their President, reflecting the strong bond between the Somaliland government and its diaspora community.
The visit aims to enhance diplomatic relations and regional cooperation, as part of Somaliland’s broader international engagement.
President Irro previously visited the United Arab Emirates and Djibouti.
