Security agencies in Somaliland have received encouragement to exercise more vigilance in the country.
President Muse Bihi Abdi called upon security agencies to be more vigilant in tackling issues that could threaten the country’s stability.
He spoke after visiting several critical offices and infrastructures.
Some of these included the headquarters of the defense ministry and police.
President Bihi lauded security arms in Somaliland for the steadfastness and selfless services they continue to offer to the country.
Several senior government officers were on hand to welcome Bihi.
Among them were Abdiqani Mohamud Aateye, Maj. Gen. Nuh Ismail Tani, and Brig. Gen. Abdirisaq Said Bulale Afgudud.
Aateye is the Minister of Defense. Maj. Gen. Tani and Brig. Gen. Afgudud are the most senior Somaliland National Army commanders.
