Somaliland’s security forces have tightened security in Buroa on February 10.
This followed an increase in the number of crimes carried out in the region in the recent past.
Somaliland Police Force (SPF) announced that they carried out the operation to improve security in several parts of Buroa and the surrounding areas.
The operation is part of the efforts by the police to ensure that security remains excellent.
During the operation, police officers stopped and inspected motor vehicles along different roads in the city.
Moreover, police announced that the operation would be intensified in the coming days.
Members of the public have been requested to cooperate with police and other security agents by reporting any suspicious activities.
Buroa has been on the receiving end of terror attacks in recent days.
