Somaliland has vowed to take its ties with Taiwan to the next level.
This follows the establishment of the Taiwan-Somaliland Inter-Parliamentary Amity Association.
Members of the association held their inaugural meeting on Friday in Taiwan.
Lin Ching-yi, a Taiwanese legislature, was elected the chairperson during the meeting that took place at the parliamentary building.
Association’s members said that Taiwan and Somaliland must work closely than ever before.
They agreed on areas where strong cooperation is needed.
These areas include agriculture, medicine, fisheries, and IT.
