The Somaliland National Electoral Commission (NEC) has called on citizens to unite in preparation for the upcoming combined presidential and political party elections scheduled for November 13, 2024.
NEC issued this call on Thursday.
Previously, Somalinders voted for the president and lawmakers on different days.
This election is seen as an important moment for Somaliland’s political landscape, as it will determine both the president and the political parties that will hold influence in the region.
The commission encourages a peaceful and cooperative atmosphere leading up to the elections.
