On Thursday, Somaliland reported that it had confirmed 14 more COVID-19 cases following tests conducted by the Ministry of Health officials in the last 24 hours.
Consequently, the country has now seen its number of COVID-19 cases grow to 68, which is one of the lowest in the Horn of Africa region.
Further, the health ministry clarified that 10 of the 14 new cases are males while the rest are women.
Additionally, the new patients are aged between 20 and 80 years. Hargeisa is responsible for 12 of the new cases.
Meanwhile, an 80-year old patient died of COVID-19 thus bringing the total deaths in the country to six. Seven individuals have recovered thus far.
