Somaliland’s electoral commission announced the schedule for the voter registration exercise on November 7.
The voter registration exercise is scheduled to kick off late this month.
On Wednesday this week, President Muse Bihi Abdi gave permission for the commencement of the exercise.
On Saturday, Somaliland National Electoral Commission (SLNEC) released details of the exercise that is to commence in all electoral regions around the country.
As per SLNEC’s announcement, the exercise has been divided into four phases.
The first phase starts on November 29 and continues until December 2, 2020.
Afterward, the second phase kicks off from December 13 to December 16, 2020.
The third phase would then take off from December 27 to December 30 before the final one is launched on January 10, 2021 to January 13, 2020.
