Somaliland’s National Human Rights Commission (SLNHRC) held a workshop to discuss increasing cases of violence against women.
Abdisamad Sa’ad, the Director General of SLNHRC, addressed participants at the workshop, which was held as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
Director General Sa’ad said that the workshop is designed to identify ways of addressing the challenges that women around the nation face.
Several top government officials and leaders attended the workshop too.
These included Ibrahim Yusuf, the Director General in the Ministry of Justice.
Others were Raqiya Ibrahim Yusuf, the Director of SLNHRC’s Department of Legal and Human Rights Complaints.
