Somaliland’s Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries has launched a camel vaccination campaign that kicks off immediately around the country.
The ministry’s Department of Veterinary will be in charge of the vaccination campaign.
The ministry rolled out the campaign on Wednesday, August 11.
According to sources from the livestock ministry, the campaign will kick off at Odweyne Province before moving to other parts.
Further, the ministry clarified that the campaign is designed to cushion herders from incurring huge losses when diseases strike their camels.
President Muse Bihi Abdi’s administration has already invested resources into acquiring consignment of drugs and assign personnel for the campaign.
