The National Tender Board of Somaliland is under investigation from the Office of the Auditor General over possible malfeasance.
Sa’ad Abdi Abdillahi, the Deputy Chairperson of the National Audit Office, made this announcement on Wednesday, September 16.
Abdillahi said that the investigation would not be limited to the headquarters alone.
Instead, he indicated that the office of the Auditor General would investigate all government agencies, including the local governments too.
Abdillahi said that the investigations are part of the government’s decision to eradicate corruption from all government offices.
The procurement offices in most government agencies and offices have been accused of grave malfeasance, which prevents delivery of services to the public.
