Somaliland’s newly appointed Minister of Investment and Industry has traveled to Selel for the first time since her appointment.
Amina Elmi Farid led a delegation of senior government officers to visit Selel and Awdal regions.
Leaders and residents of the two regions were on hand to accord her a warm welcome as she made her maiden visit on December 11.
She was in the company of officials from the Ministry of Trade and Tourism and the Ministry of Information.
The Director-General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Services as well as the Managing Director of the Somaliland Road Authority were also part of Farid’s delegation.
They visited several villages and districts in the two regions.
During the tour, Farid and her delegation mostly focused on evaluating and inspecting development initiatives in the regions.
