All political parties in Somaliland have assured President Muse Bihi Abdi of their commitment to the country’s peace, security, and stability.
Leaders of 10 political parties in Somaliland visited President Bihi on Sunday.
President Bihi had invited them to the Presidential Complex for a roundtable discussion on the Las Anod situation.
Bihi started by providing them with the latest updates on the Las Anod situation.
Afterward, he opened the forum to anyone with ideas and suggestions to share on the most effective solutions to the Las Anod crisis.
Leaders of the political parties then commended Bihi for inviting them to the discussions.
Thereafter, they all issued a statement reaffirming their commitment to helping Somaliland to enjoy stability and security.
They also vowed to solve the Las Anod problem through dialogue.
Las Anod continues to pit Somaliland forces against Somalia. Militia groups with close ties to Somalia have been taking the Somaliland forces head-on in the city for weeks.
