The newly elected President of Somalia has received congratulatory messages from the Ethiopian Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia congratulated Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for winning the presidential elections held on Sunday, May 15.
In his message, the Ethiopian Prime Minister said that he looks forward to developing close working relations with President-Elect Mohamud.
He also expressed hope that Somalia and Ethiopia would continue pursuing common bilateral and regional interests.
