SOMINVEST Seeks FDIs from Nairobi Securities Exchange

Mohamed Dubo, the Director of the Somalia Investment Promotion Office (SOMINVEST) and Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, the Somali Ambassador to Kenya, engaged with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE PLC), Frank L. Mwiti, on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed regional strategies for attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Somalia.

Attracting FDI is crucial for Somalia’s economic recovery and long-term growth, as it can bring in much-needed capital, technology, and expertise.

By fostering partnerships with regional and international stakeholders, Somalia can create a more conducive environment for investment, which will help rebuild infrastructure, create jobs, and stimulate economic activity.

This meeting highlights the importance of collaboration between government officials, private sector leaders, and international partners in driving economic development.

It also underscores Somalia’s commitment to integrating into the global economy and leveraging investment opportunities to achieve sustainable development.
