Son of Somali President Testifies in Case Where’s Accused of Killing a Turkish Motorcyclist

The son of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia testified in a case where he stands accused of killing a Turkish motoryclist.

Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the son of Somali President, appeared in the Turkish court  on Friday to answer charges of killing a local motorcyclist.

He reportedly committed the offense on November 30.

The motorcyclist, identified as 38-year-old Yunus Emre Gocer, died six days later when he could not respond to medical treatment.

Turkey issued a warrant of arrest after the whereabouts of the President’s son could not be ascertained.

The court revoked the arrest warrant and travel ban initially imposed on the Somali President’s son.
