The regional state of Southwest has announced the severance of ties with Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
According to a press release from the Southwest, its cooperation with Prime Minister Roble ceases with immediate effect.
Southwest accuses the Prime Minister of interfering with the work of the Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT) and the Southwest State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT).
Their decision stems from the Prime Minister’s approval of FEIT’s cancellation of some elections results from the region.
Recently, FEIT published the list of all the newly elected House of the People legislators.
Roble agreed with the FEIT decision, which the electoral body’s head, Muse Yusuf, announced.
Meanwhile, Galmudug State has also expressed concern about the emerging political crisis in the country.
