In a Sunday operation, security forces in Somalia’s Southwest State intercepted a group of migrants who were being lured by human traffickers.
The migrants, many of whom were attempting to reach foreign destinations for better opportunities, had fallen victim to trafficking networks exploiting their vulnerability.
The authorities have intensified efforts to combat human trafficking, with more operations being planned to protect migrants and dismantle trafficking rings.
This crackdown aligns with the government’s broader strategy to improve internal security and safeguard vulnerable populations.
