Somalia’s Southwest State played host to a delegation from Turkey on October 17.
President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen of the Southwest State led members of his administration in meeting the Turkish delegation.
According to several sources, the Turkish team was in Baidoa to raise awareness.
Moreover, the Turkish delegation also traveled to Southwest’s capital city to train religious leaders and extend support to the needy.
Laftagareen extended his gratitude to the Turkish delegation.
He also thanked them for assisting residents of Las Anod whom the Somaliland authorities have forcibly evicted from their homes since early October.
