Somalia’s Southwest State Security Minister Hassan Abdikadir Mohamed has announced a commitment to eliminating illegal roadblocks in the region.
The move is aimed at enhancing security and ensuring the free movement of people and goods.
Mohamed acknowledged the recent collaborative efforts, highlighting the involvement of federal lawmaker Dahir Amin Jesow in dismantling barricades in the Lower Shabelle province.
He further stated that plans are in place to extend these efforts to areas currently under the control of the Al-Shabaab militant group.
This initiative is part of broader security reforms aimed at stabilizing the region and improving the lives of its residents.
