Southwest state’s Drought Relief Committee met on January 26 to discuss emergency response coordination in Baidoa.
Members of the committee met with representatives from different countries in Mogadishu on Wednesday.
Some of the representatives present at the meeting were from various donors.
They also included officers from the United Nations, western nations, and nongovernmental organizations among others.
Southwest is one of the worst drought-hit regions in the East African nation.
