In Wajid town, located in the Bakol region of Somalia’s SouthWest state, local security officials are intensifying efforts to garner support from the community in order to challenge the ongoing Al-Shabaab blockade.
Local police chief Iftiin Adan Ali expressed hope that this growing momentum by residents could lead to the liberation of the town from the terror group.
